Hi! My name is LaFond Ralston and I’m a Junior at Kent State University. I’ve been babysitting children since I was twelve and have always enjoyed it. I worked at Happy Day (a school for child with disabilities) for two summers! While there, I learned how to give children medications, changed diapers, transformed children from their wheelchairs , and much more! In 2015, when I was attending Ashland’, I was a nanny for a sweet boy named, Jack Henry. Jack was three at the time and was diagnosed with Autism and a few other health issues. I helped his mother with grocery shopping, doctor appointments, giving Jack medication, helping with potty training, worked on learning and physical skills, and a lot more as well! I also held a job as a ABA therapist and traveled to children’s homes who had special needs. I would help teach them different life skills Read more and learning skills. I have a great amount of experience with children with special needs, and they have a special place in my heart. I have also helped watch my nephew who is now nine, but I have been watching him since he was three. I really enjoy spending time with children and being someone who could potentially have an impact on them!
