Hi! A bit about me: I'm 19 years old and I currently live in Woodmere, OH with my mother and brother. I've always loved being around children because they have such positive energy. When I was in high school I used to volunteer at Hawken Preschool every Friday because I was interested in early childhood education. During the summer I coach sailing to children ranging 6-18. I babysit a lot of the children I coach during the summer to make some extra money and get to know them better. I consider myself a people person and love interacting one on one with my community. I strive to be a positive influence for children since I know how much I appreciated my role models growing up. I finished a maritime program in Newport Beach, CA last year where I received different USCG certifications including CPR/First Aid. I worked for Orange Coast Read more College as well as The Boy Scouts Newport Sea Base where I taught after school sailing programs for children in the area. I moved back home to save some money so I can eventually go back to school but I realized I didn't feel like I was making a difference in my community working at a restaurant. So I am looking for a way to make money while also feeling like I'm contributing to the world around me. I have a SafeSport certification where I learned how to recognize signs of emotional/phsyical/sexual abuse with children and steps to keeping them safe and happy so they can thrive in their enviornment. Another bonus: if your child likes dogs I have a very sweet bernese mountain dog named Mushu who I used to bring to sailing with me and is wonderful with children.
