I have recently graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in biology and am currently pursuing my master’s in Physician Assistant studies. I am in search of part-time work as a sitter to make ends meet (medical textbooks are pretty expensive). In 2013, I received an honorable discharge from the Army after 7 years of service. Throughout my tenure in the military, I was deployed for a year in Afghanistan where I served as the soldier in charge of base defense operations. As a result of the level of responsibility inherent in my role, I was awarded with the Bronze Star Medal (4th highest military decoration awarded in combat). Of the many positions I’ve held in the military, I have also been trained as a combat medic. If necessary, I am more than confident that I can meet any special needs that your child may need. Read more Additionally, being a proud owner of 2 dogs, I am more than happy to watch any pets you may have as well. At 26 years of age, the maturation, discipline, and professionalism aspects of the military have grown strong roots in my personality and work ethic. If hired, I will never be late to any prearranged dates for me to work. Prior to my military service, I spent 4 years working for the City of Moraine as a lifeguard at a water park and 2 years working in an after-school daycare program at Frank Nicholas Elementary School. As a result, I have had extensive exposure working with children from a wide variety of ages, particularly 5-17 years of age. Also, after persevering a rigorous math and science-based curriculum at the college level (3.72 GPA), I am more than qualified to provide additional help with any homework assignments and/or tutoring. Given the flexibility of my school schedule, I have a wide-range of availability for work throughout the morning, afternoon, evening, and even overnight or extended care.
