I started my child care experience as a "Senior camp counselor," and eventually got hired as an assistant teacher for Head Start. I worked for Head Start for three years as an assistant teacher, with children ages 3-5. My duties included: Creating and implementing lesson plans to prepare for Kindergarten, which also included ILP (individual lesson plans) for those who needed more one on one learning. Additionally, I worked three-four years at Granville Child Care, where I worked in different classrooms, with many different ages, ranging from 6 weeks-10 years-old. My duties included: maintaining a safe and stable environment, preparing lunches, keeping a schedule, and hands on learning activities. I am trained in CPR, first aid, child abuse & neglect, and crisis intervention . People would describe me as dependable, attentive, loving, warm, energetic, and fun.
