My name is Emily, and I am a 26 year old seeking employment as a babysitter for weekends and evenings. I have been working at schools in Cleveland for the past four years, but have over ten years of experience working with children from ages 1 to 18 in multiple roles. I am also pursuing my Masters in Social Work and have about 5 weeks off of school from December 6th to January 12th, so I will have availability during the day in that time period. So, if you have holiday shopping and holiday parties to go to, or would simply like to have someone to watch your kids during winter break, please contact me! To say more about my background, I started babysitting when I was 14 and over the years, I babysat children from the age of 14 months to 13 years old, both girls and boys. I Read more was a camp counselor for the Ohio Leadership Institute and volunteered for two years as an after school aide for a first grade class during high school. I graduated from The College of Wooster in 2014 where I was employed as a tutor for a K-6 school. I also volunteered at the Ida Sue School for children with developmental delays. Following undergrad, I worked for two years at John Adams High School with City Year as a near-peer mentor and tutor for at-risk students. I am currently employed as a Creative Writing teacher at Lake Erie Ink, which is a arts-based non-profit for children and adolescents. As stated, I am also pursuing my Masters in Social Work at CSU and will graduate in May 2019. Last year, I completed a internship with Applewood Centers doing group counseling with adolescents who have severe behavioral or mental health disorders. I am currently interning as a school-based therapist, where I hope to be employed after graduation. My I believe my diverse experience makes me an excellent candidate for any parent who is looking for high-quality care with a sitter who has a great plethora of fun activities up their sleeves.
