I have a Ph.D. in child psychology, and love to babysit because my children are all teenagers and we miss having babies/toddlers around! [I work professionally in the evenings and weekends, but my hours are flexible as I make my own hours]. We currently watch a 15 month old in our home (since he was 2-3 months old) three days a week and all three children are actively involved in his care. We have everything in our home to make young children happy, I kept all my children's toys and books! We NEVER have the television on when children are in the house and provide a very stimulating and loving environment. Our current charge LOVES to "play" and listen to the piano, violin, and guitar my children play. We also teach young children sign language to facilitate their communication (we will only do this if you would like us to.) Dawn is a dream come true for our family. Her children are a testament to the quality of life she offers children in her care. She has watched our son since he was 3 months old and has consistently provided age appropriate activities in a family centered environment. Our son learned sign language from her and was signing at 10 months. He loves going to her house. Each of Dawn's children provides love and attention in their own ways and our son adores them all. Lauren is a conscientious and mature caregiver in her own right and left highly recommend her for babysitting.
