I am a certified elementary teacher in Ohio and Kentucky. I have a Bachelor's Degree from NKU in Early Childhood Education, which I received in 2004. I earned my Master's Degree in Education Administration from Xavier University in 2009. I taught for eight years at an elementary school before I decided to begin working from home. I taught 2nd grade for three years, and reading intervention to struggling students for five years. I decided that I wanted to work with kids at a younger age, to help ensure that they are prepared for school when they enter kindergarten. I began with our own five year old daughter who will begin Kindergarten next school year and is very excited about it! I am interested in finding a family that would like me to provide childcare for their child/children, as well as provide some academics (color, letter, number recognition; phonemic awareness, phonics, Read more handwriting, patterns, sight words, counting etc.). I also like to focus on character education, such as building healthy relationships and a healthy self-esteem, developing positive ways to solve problems, showing respect for others and our belongings, building independence, etc. I am also American Red Cross Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certified. I have experience with children ages newborn, all the way through 5th grade.
