We found Amy on SitterCity and couldn't be happier with her! We have 2 boys, ages 7 & 9. Amy's background is working with younger kids but you wouldn't know it by her interactions with our elementary aged kids. While ours are at the age that they will happily watch TV or play ipads.. Amy brings with her a box of crafts and games and gets down on the floor to play with the kids. How fun is it at the end of a date night to see cups stacked 6 feet tall! (she doesn't send the picture until we are home because she doesn't want to distrub us on our date) Our kids are at the age where they can clean up after themselves (and are expected to) But Amy alwyas has all dinner items washed, and honestly the place looks more picked up than when we leave. We know it's a good sign when the kids cheer that Amy is babysitting for them. I highly recommend her for anyone with elementary aged kids, AND since her background is actually with younger children, her responsibility indicates she would be equally great for that age group And I'm sure I'm jinxing myself with this review that she won't be as available due to other jobs, but she is the type of sitter that you are HAPPY to write a glowing review about.
