I graduated in May from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, and am now in the process of applying to medical school. I currently work for City Year Cleveland, a non-profit that works in grades 3 through 9 to bring students up to grade level in English in Math. I myself work in a ninth grade Math class. I write lesson plans for students who need to review concepts, and will begin working with select students on attendance and behavior using lesson structures focused in key areas to help students come to school on time and prepared and decrease suspensions. I am looking to supplement this with occasional or semi-regular babysitting. In college I volunteered at a hospital in Massachusetts in the Specialties Clinic, entertaining children aged 0 through 18 with games and crafts before their appointments. I also have extensive experience babysitting Read more my three younger siblings. In addition, when I return home to Massachusetts I frequently care from my neighbors' children who are now 6 and 4. During one summer in high school I was employed as a nanny during the afternoons for two children, one in middle school, the other in elementary school. I have also previously volunteered in my church's nursery, caring for infants and toddlers. I will be re-certified in CPR within the next several weeks through City Year.
