I am a proud parent myself with a child in college at Ohio State. I have over twenty years experience in health care, with a background in music education/performance, minor in theatre and health care administration. I have a passion for teaching, creating, and motivating all of us to reach our greatest potential in life. I believe in developing interpersonal communication skills, in listening, reading and problem solving, recognizing and encouraging potential, innovation, curiosity, and respectful independence, and demonstrating that determination and kindness can go hand in hand at all times. My more recent babysitting experiences are with nieces/nephews etc. from age 3-10 most often over the last decade. When I was 14-18, I had developed such a trusted reputation that I was not able to keep up with the amount of babysitting requests I received each week. With my health care and music ed. background, I am very familiar Read more with nutritional information, the majority of medical diagnosis/allergies, medications, but do need to update my pediatric CPR/First Aid certifications again this year and will gladly do so to get them current again. As I have recently made a long awaited transition from a corporate life back to my own continuing education, including my music, voice-acting career again, which is why I am seeking part time hours, either sometime during the day between 9am-4:30pm/10:30-3pm depending upon the day and my class schedule,(which is consistent once I set it so I will be dependable) or an occasional evening after 6pm to help make sure a couple gets a date night out together. I am glad to help make dinner, do dishes and help supervise with homework, read-practice their reading, play games and sports, puzzles, sing/read&encourage music, color, practice hand writing, basic math, flash cards, science, geography, history, and am up to date on current events and am very personally committed to celebrating diversity and equality. I am fine with animals as they are part of our families also! I remember how we felt when we searched to find a sitter to be basically as trusted as a family member when we wanted to have a date night so I understand the time and care you are placing into your search.
