I am currently a college student going into my senior year, I am on the Women's Basketball team at Winthrop University. I am majoring in Sociology. I have plans on getting my masters and becoming a professor and also working in non-profit organizations. I am a huge advocate for education and giving back to the city of Columbus. My first experience with babysitting is with my now 12 year old brother and I’ve been babysitting him since he was an infant. I truly loved babysitting him because I was able to also use the time we spent to help prepare him for kindergarten by teaching him literature, science, and math. The experience I had babysitting him definitely is the reason why I’m a sociology major currently at Winthrop University. I also have been a babysitter for my disabled cousin with cerebral palsy until she was thirteen. My cousin has the Read more worse form of the disease, so the experience was like taking care of a baby. Both experiences taught me a lot of patience, but also different ways to become creative when trying to keep children active, so they're not bored, and also staying active is great for their mental and physical health.
