I am a Medical Dietetics student in the Masters Degree/Dietetic Internship program at The Ohio State University. I am training to be a Registered Dietitian. I am fully competent to deal with a child that has any special dietary need. I have not had any babysitting jobs where I have cared for a family on a regular basis. This is due to the fact that I was extremely busy in high school where I went to an arts school for music. I am a classically trained trumpet player and I passed the AP music theory exam with flying colors. I also graduated valedictorian of my class. I would be able to assist any child with music theory homework or a practice schedule should they be learning to play an instrument. I am also able to assist children with their school homework as well. I graduated from the University of Florida Read more with a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Dietetics cum laude. I am CPR certified as well as I used to be lifeguard certified several years ago. I am most comfortable working with children over the age of 2, preferrably potty trained, but I am willing to work with all ages. I am happy to cook or put together healthful meals for children and their families. I like to encourage healthful behavior while providing care, such as eating healthy, playing outdoors, limited "screen time" with indoor play, and arts and crafts. I highly value education and am always willing to teach what I know, or find resources for children to learn from. I do not have any pets or children. I do not currently volunteer but I am in the internship portion of my program where I am out in the field in a variety of healthcare and community environments. My previous volunteer work includes being a teachers aide for Sunday school, a Camp Counselor at Zoo Day Camp at the Jacksonville Zoo, a Camp Counselor at First Coast Community Music School Summer Camp, and nutrition related volunteer work throughout college. I have a very basic understanding of spanish and am able to speak a little conversationally.

Erica is an intelligent, responsible woman whom my 3 1/2 year old truly looks forward to seeing! She is always on time, has no problem doing tasks such as cooking him dinner, giving him a bath, getting him ready for bedtime, etc. Better yet, the house is always cleaned up when we return home. She has watched our son and our friend's 1 yr old son at the same time in the past and has done a wonderful job. I also appreciate that she is always engaging my son in active, educational play.
