I started babysitting when I was 10 years old. I also was a Candystriper at a hospital in my hometown of Morgantown, WV. Upon graduation from high school, I enrolled at Morgantown Business College and graduated with honors as a Medical Secretary. I then moved to Columbus, Ohio--my first job at Grant Hospital - Dept of Pharmacy. I volunteered several years for both Riverside Hospital and St. Ann's. I also have been a volunteer in the Hilliard City Schools. Unfortunately I was widowed at a very young age with two young children (4 and 8 years old). I chose to remain in Columbus to raise my children even though I had no family here as I felt they would have better opportunities for schooling and their future. I made the right decision! I am very proud of both of them. My daughter is employed by Polaris Christian Academy and my Read more son is a Columbus Police Officer. I retired in April of 2017 after a 15-1/2 year career in dialysis. I have two beautiful, intelligent and talented granddaughters now 10 and 12-1/2 whom I adore and have had the privilege to care for each Wednesday from birth. It is still very important to me to be here for them every Wednesday. I am seeking part-time work. Children are truly a miracle...a Gift from God and so much fun.
