Morgan worked for us for about a month and half. She came highly recommended, so we were excited to have her watch our 18 month old son, and help us around the house. Other than the day I had scheduled to work, or planned event, she basically chose her hours. She was scheduled for a Tuesday and txt me that morning asking me if I needed her, I responded sure, and she again said if I didn’t need her, she could come the other days. I said I did need her. She didn’t show up, and did not write back or call. She didn’t show up the next day, a scheduled work day for myself. We were basically put in a bad position, as I do Anesthesia and cannot just call off work because my babysitter doesn’t show up. I debated writing a review, as I don’t want to bash someone, because they are just irresponsible, but there were some care issues my husband and I had with her as well. I felt it was important for another parent to know these things, as I would want to know before hiring someone. She had let my son play In Our backyard, without much supervision, in an area he could get hurt. Something, I wouldn’t have let him do, even myself. I came home and saw that, and requested her to be closer to him. My husband came home a couple times unannounced and she was at the counter doing her own things while my son played by himself. These things weren’t acceptable to me, however it may be for another parent. Anyway, we aren’t angry or upset, but believing this was a blessing in disguise, and happy with the way it turned out. I felt obligated to acknowledge this on here, so other parents have a better vision of what we experienced first hand. References are generally always good, so wanted to give a better perspective.
