I started babysitting at 11 years old. I was very popular and in demand because I made the best popcorn. And I paid attention to the children 100% of the time. I had four boys in five years and loved every minute of it. They are grown and I miss the interaction with little ones. I was a substitute aide with Olentangy Schools for 10 years including Special Needs Preschool, Study Hall for the Behaviorally challenged at the HS, playground and lunch lady. I ran the Kids Club, Aquatics and Summer Camps at Scioto Reserve Athletic Club and Wedgewood Country Club. I have coached over twenty athletic teams and believe exercise is an important part of every child's day. Children are just little people and showing them respect earns respect. I am a State Tested Nursing Assistant with current CPR/First Aide. I am used to watching multiple children from infants to elementary age. There is no such thing as a bad child. You just have to find ways of communicating that work for that child. I have a lot of patience and a good sense of humor which helps. Boys can start climbing the walls if they don't get enough energy out. I am 58 and look forward to being a surrogate grandma.
