Meet Olivia

I am a dedicated and loving child care provider. I have always loved children and I grew up in a large family, always helping my aunt and uncles with my little cousins. I have been babysitting for my family and other families since I was thirteen. I love playing with children and watching them grow. While I watch children, I love to have scheduled play time as well as scheduled education time. I can work on learning activity books with them that focus on reading, writing, spelling, phonics, and math. I am also capable of tutoring your child in reading and writing. In September of 2015 to April of 2016 I was a reading and writing volunteer tutor, and I worked with a third grader on her skills. Over the course of the year she improved her skills and was at the appropriate reading level. I also have experience in Read more early childhood, middle childhood, adolescent young adult (high school age), and special needs classrooms. In high school I took a teacher prep course through a vocational school that offered classes through my high school and I was able to graduate through both: I have my high school diploma and a certificate in completion of several hours of classroom experience in the teaching professions program. The time spent in these classrooms gave me the experience of how to work with all types of children, at different age levels. Last summer I also worked at a special needs daycare where I was caring for children between the ages of 10 months to 12 years old, each with their own unique personalities and with a diversity of special needs. I loved caring for these children and I can ensure you that I will do everything that I can to make your child feel loved and cared for, no matter of the circumstances.
