My name is Darby, I am senior at the University of Dayton. I am a middle childhood education major with concentrations in language arts and science. I will be working with children the rest of my life and would love to spend time with them all summer as well. During the summer and part of the school year, I live with my family in New Albany. I am most comfortable with middle childhood development (grades 4-9), since that is my major and I also have a brother that age; however, I am experienced in all ages. This past year I had the honor of nannying a two year old boy and a six year old boy. I think each age has their own set of unique traits that are so special. I originally got into childcare after becoming so close to my little brother, he is 12 years old and is my best friend. The bond we have sparked my interest in nannying, babysitting, and ultimately my career choice for after graduation. I love spending time with children as well as planning outings and activities.
