I have 11 years of experience with children ages newborn to 12 years old. I am studying elementary education to land a job teaching pre-school through 5th grade. However, I have a few years before graduation. I previously held a job as a Child and Youth Program Assistant at an after school facility where I was trained in child health, child nutrition, safety and emergency procedures, child abuse identification, special needs awareness and administering medications. I also helped plan and coordinate activities for children that fit the daily schedules and helped assist children in special projects and homework. Working with children has always been something I've enjoyed. As a mom myself, I take pride in treating other people's children the way I would like mine treated.
