There was nothing that gave me more joy than being a stay at home mom, and now that my three kids are grown, I am looking for an opportunity to help another family. For the last five years, I worked as a part time nanny for a neighbor down the street, taking care of their son Johnny who is now 12 and daughter Mia who is 10. In addition to picking them up from school, I took them to doctor's appointments, play dates and other activities. I loved spending the afternoons cooking with Mia and doing holiday crafts and helping Johnny practice for his next game. The children now consider me something of a third grandmother to them and I feel blessed to have become so close to the family. I am currently looking for a position Wednesday-Friday in addition to weekends. I am also available all evenings. I have Read more a three year old grandson and a two month old granddaughter and I absolutely love helping my daughter with them. I especially love babies-- my son-in-law actually calls me the "baby whisperer"-- and I would love the opportunity to help another family with a baby or young children not yet in school. Being a grandmother gives me something special that I know not everyone can offer. My experience as a part time nanny in addition to my real life experience as a grandmother and mother make me uniquely qualified to give children the same attention you would give your own kids. We have three dogs and and a cat at home so I am also very comfortable with pets!
