Hi! As the oldest of six children, I babysat for my parents from the time I was ten years old. With four brothers and a sister, all younger than me, it was never boring! I also babysat for several families on evenings, weekends, and during the summers. Most recently, I spent ten weeks in China, traveling around and volunteering at various places. One of my favorite places was an orphanage for children with special medical needs (cleft lip and palate, club feet, Down's Syndrome, heart surgeries, etc.). These children were so precious, and it was a joy and an honor to spend time with them - from newborn premies, to the 3 and 4-year-olds. Since I've gotten back, I've been reflecting on that experience a lot. I've realized how much I would like to continue caring for children, by working as a nanny. I play the guitar and a little piano! *3 years as a high school youth minister. As part of that position, I became a certified VIRTUS Safe Environment facilitator. I trained the volunteers in our church in the policies we had in place to protect our children.
