I had the pleasure of being the "go to" babysitter for my boss' 10 year old daughter along with their 5 and 7 year old grandchildren. I have done last minute watching for a few hours and also planned weeks when they went out of town for business trips. That included meals, cleaning, dog watching and school drop off/pick ups. I would still be helping my them out if I live closer to them. (Moved 3 hours away after I got married). I have helped my sister raise her 2 children ages are now 9 and 7 this included all of the duties that come with a child (diapers, baths, timeouts, bedtime etc.) I do not have any certifications or professional training.
