I had Allie scheduled for two different babysitting jobs. She backed out of the first job at 8am the day of the job, telling me she had a fever and a sore throat. I took that at face value and decided to keep her scheduled for the next job. Two days before the job I texted Allie to confirm and I didn't hear from her. The next day I texted again, then called and left a message. Still no reply. I then texted a more stern message and got an almost immediate long reply about how her friend's mom had died and she hadn't been with her phone for a couple of days and that the wake was the next day during our babysitting. I can't say for certain of course, but I'm not sure she was being honest with me. In any case, I can't deal with a person who backs out last minute on the only two jobs I've tried to hire her for and I would recommend not bothering with her if you can't afford to have someone flake out on you.

Hi. I had spoken with Allie on a Saturday and asked her if she could babysit my daughter the following Wednesday when I needed to take my mother to the hospital for chemotherapy. She assured me that she would sit and that she would call me on Monday, but she never called. I called and texted her on Tuesday, asking her to please confirm as soon as possible if she was still planning on watching my daughter on Wednesday. I never heard from her. I think it is terrible that she didn't even have the decency to let me know that she wasn't planning on sitting, especially since she knew the serious reason why I needed a sitter. As a sitter, I believe Allie is uncaring, unprofessional, irresponsible and selfish. After this happened, I realized that Allie had 2 reviews. One was favorable, and the other stated that she never showed up for the job. I wish I had seen the review before. I think there are so many wonderful sitters out there that no one should ever consider hiring this girl. I hate writing a review like this (and I never have before for anything), but I am shocked by Allie's behavior. It would have been fine if she couldn't sit and had told me in advance, but her uncaring attitude is horrible. P.S. I would not have given her any star at all, but the website required it in order to post my review.
