I am the 53 yr old mother of two, step mother of two.  I have two grown children, ages 24 and 32. I have been caring for children since the age of 14.  I have volunteered with children since High school working in a day care center, with a Brownie troop, a cub scout troop and as a volunteer at Akron Children's hospital.  I have watched the children of siblings and friends.  I currently have my seven month old grandson who resides with me, along with his parents and I often care for him. I find it interesting and very satisfying to take care of a child and see them discover the world.  I am very creative as far as activities go.  I am artistic and crafty and still to this day have traditional craft sessions (ie: making Christmas decoration) with my kids.  I will have no issue sitting down Read more with your children and coloring, reading or whatever activity is going on for the day. I have no problem with pets as long as they are friendly.  Prefer non-smoking home as I have asthma, but that is not a deal breaker as long as I don't have to breath smoke. I have been laid off from my job since March and am now needing to seek employment as going back to my job still has no date. Since being furloughed I have been at home except for the occasional trip to the store and more recently, one class at Lakeland Community College. It is a very small class, four of us total, including the instructor. Masks and social distancing are required. I wear a mask any time I do go out. I really love caring for children and look forward to the possibility of meeting yours!
