First and foremost, I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ. I do my best to be more like Him every day. I do not use profanities when I am not around children, so there will never be a slip up when I am around them. I have a BA in K-9 Elementary Education, a BA in K-12 Special Education, and a MA in Curriculum Instruction for English Speakers of Other Languages. I am in my third year of being a full-time teacher. I have spent countless hours in the schools helping students of all ages throughout my high school and college careers. In high school, I daily taught at both a daycare and preschool as part of a pre-teacher education course. I spent many of my junior high, high school, and college years babysitting. I detest when parents take their kids to restaurants or parks only to spend time with their phones. Children should not be put in front of screens as a form of entertainment. Children need to find the beauty and excitement their world has to offer--and that does not come through TV or iPads. I believe that every situation can potentially be a teaching situation, and I take every opportunity I get to use those moments. I will treat-and love!-each child like they were my own.
