I have had experience with caring for children in several different capacities. I have been volunteering as a counselor at a church camp every summer for the past 4 year. This requires me to stay in a cabin with 10-15 girls ages 9-14 for a week at a time. My duties include interacting with all campers during the day, leading cabin devotionals at night, and leading the children through direction and example. I am also responsible for maintaining a safe environment and helping the children resolve any conflict that may arise. I also babysat a 2 year-old for 2 summers in 2013 and 2014. I kept her from 8:00 am to 5:00 each weekday. I performed basic babysitting duties: changing diapers, feeding, naptime, and playtime. I would frequently take her for walks and read to her. I have also helped with children occasionally in other settings such as being a Read more second grade teacher's aide my senior year of high school and assisting with the toddler class at my home church. I am CPR certified, and am enrolled in the nursing program at Oklahoma Christian University.
