If any of you grew up in a big family you'd know that more often than not, as soon as the older kids hit just the right age, they become the new designated babysitters. It's kind of like one of those unwritten rules. It just happens and sometimes is expected. I came from one of those families. Being the third oldest and the oldest girl, I often had the chance to watch over my three younger sisters. Although a the time babysitting wasn't on my top ten list of favorite things to do, experiences in the past few years have really made me appreciate how important it is to care for and teach children in a positive and uplifting way. I have experience studying family psychology at a university level, serving as a youth leader, camp counselor, summer school tutor for 4th and 5th graders, as a missionary for my Read more church , teaching kids and families in the Spanish language in the Dominican Republic, and caring for my great grandma who at the time was 102. She's 103 now, and still kicking! I hope to continue babysitting and caring for people because I know that I have a lot of love and help to offer the families that I work for.
