Growing up as the second oldest of six children gave me prime experience babysitting from a very young age. I have babysat for numerous families for the past seven years, working with ages ranging from infant to teenage years. I have served as an after school volunteer tutor and mentor at various organizations, currently I serve in Norman, Oklahoma as the Boys and Girls Club after school program volunteer. I love working with children, and was recently accepted to work at a teaching program in the fall of 2016 called Memphis Teacher Residency, which only hires individuals who have demonstrated high academic achievement and strong leadership potential. I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma and was awarded Outstanding Freshman and Sophomore awards, which are given to the top 11 students of each class who demonstrate leadership, service and academic achievement.
