Hello, my name is Kylie Willson, and I am currently a senior at Langston University. I have worked as a church nursery worker for over 5 yrs and been babysitting for family, friends, and church members since I was 12. I have extensive experience in dealing with small children and infants. I also worked as a kindergarten teacher aid for a year. I truly enjoy being around children of all ages but when a child is first starting to read, it's a whole new joy. I am a very interactive babysitter, meaning I am an individual who will be on the floor playing right beside your child. I want to invest my time and energies into the children that I watch. I have a very energetic and playful personality, but I also know when it's time to get school or housework done and also when to enforce the house rules. Read more I have experience with older child as well as I worked as a VBS counselor for 6 yrs and Upward Bound counselor all last summer. Older children may be more self-sufficient, but I believe they still need to know I am there for them in any area or issue they may have . They need to know that I am not there to boss them around only to offer a sense of stability and structure to the home while their parents are out. I started babysitting when I was 12 because a very close family friend had a baby girl, and I fell in love with her and became one of the few people outside her family that could get her to sleep. I am still very close with that little girl today. From the first day I got this baby girl asleep I knew I wanted to be involved with children. If I could I would spend all day with children I would, as I am very in tune with my innner child. I love to do simple arts and crafts with them, as well as play games and go on adventures. I have a two nephews, 4 yr old and 6 yr old, and every day I get to see them is a day well spent. I read books with them, do crafts, play games, let them 'help' me cook, but also help them clean their rooms and do their homework to surprise their mommy.
