My mother ran a daycare in our home while I was growing up and I learned from a young age to love having children around. In high school I started babysitting for family friends and others in our community and helped in the church nursery. While in high school, my young cousin (2 yrs) and my two nieces (18 mo. and 2 yrs.) moved in with us. I loved taking care of them and often had them with me if I wasn't at work or school. I studied elementary education in college, and continued to babysit for friends and work in the church nursery. In 2007 I moved to Oklahoma and became certified as a foster parent. I never had any children placed in my home because I wasn't able to arrange day care while I worked, but I am the alternate caregiver for my mom's foster children and my Read more adopted siblings (7 yr., 3 yr., 1 yr., and 3 mo., old). I am not currently certified in CPR but have been in the past and would be willing to re-certify.
