Hi, I'm Kate! I have 3 full years of experience in child-care for a wide range of ages. I also have spent a year volunteering at a children's shelter, the Laura Dester Shelter here in Tulsa in 2013. There I helped care for children who had parents in the court system. I helped serve meals, play and read with them and overall just keep them company. I volunteered with the 0-4 age group. In addition, I have been a been nanny for a family of five children from ages 2-17 years. I worked full time for this family, which included meal prepping, pick ups and drop offs, tidying up the house, planning activities, I also even helped homeschool one of the children for a semester (age 6). I have experience in special needs as well, specifically with autistic children. That experience steams from my time working with a family of Read more two children, ages 2 and 4. It was a very special experience, the family spoke to me and said that they couldn't believe he would even come up to me, let alone let me hold him! I knew then that this was a genuine passion of mine. Children are unique and awesome in so many different ways and I feel honored to be apart of their wonderous view on the world! I am extremely responsible, caring, warm hearted, outgoing (love to do activities outside, or go to parks and museums). I have a keen understanding on how to keep the peace with children in a calm manner. I am also certified in infant and adult CPR. Caring for a child is a an extraordinary job and I hope to have the opportunity to be apart of your family! My availability is preferably a full time position - however, I am flexible with the times needed. Thank you!
