I love to spend time with people I can inspire, care for, and have fun with. For me, that means telling a good story, explaining a math theorem, listening to their memories, and making some of our own. My day job is intellectually fulfilling - I work in finance. In order to spend more time interacting with my community, I work with children, teens and adults as a ballroom instructor and tutor part time. I teach beginner children's and adult's ballroom classes, I babysit for my friends kids, and I help in after-school and volunteer activities on my own time. It's fulfilling when I can inspire a child to believe in themselves, bond with an older person over tea and stories, or being the difference between a C or an A on a test for an active learner. I love cats (I've growth up with a lot of them), and Read more can care for any pet. I also have experience with special needs children, but they are all very different so I'm happy to share my experience with you if those are your needs. I also am a semi-professional chef, I run a kind of underground kitchen selling my baked goods and home cooked soups online when people pre-order. I cook veetarian, vegan, kosher (strict if needed), and many ethnic cuisines as well. Ask me to share my specialties! My ideal sitting job is one where I can be a hybrid sitter-tutor, or sitter-care taker, for people or for pets, or both, so I can give the most of myself. I'm great with kids 2+, teens, and the elderly. I cared for my grandfather after a stroke and for many ill relatives, so I understand what that entails.
