My name is Katie and I spent 8 years overseas in a military household. During that time, I babysat for the military children on base. While in NATO headquarters, I cared for children of multiple ethnicities and languages. Instead of letting language be a barrier, I became proficient in reading nonverbal communication so I can accomadate to children who are not able to be as expressive with me.
