My name is Carly and I am an enthusiastic and experienced caregiver. From being a personal support worker, to an adoption specialist, I have learned to care for and connect with children of all ages and backgrounds. I also understand taking care of children with special needs. Each child is unique in their own way and I love to help them with their daily tasks. I am happy to assist with cooking, getting ready for the day, bed time, soccer practice, or whatever task that day brings. I am a huge advocate for art and playing outside! I will always find meaningful activities to do together that don't involve a screen. I babysat children all throughout high school and college. From taking care of babies, to giving teenagers a ride to practice, I gained an abundance of experience interacting with children and adolescents all of the time. In High School Read more I was a swim coach for toddlers, teaching them the basics of water safety. In college, I became a personal support worker and cared for a boy who had autism and fragile-x syndrome. This boy taught me many lessons and made me even more passionate about child care and psychology. After graduating college, I became an adoption specialist for a non-profit agency. I have created bonds with children and teens with severe trauma, and have ensured their safety as their legal guardian. From moving children homes, to standing up for them in court, or to simply go out and get ice cream after school, I feel that I have the upmost experience in child care.
