I started taking care of kids in the early 90's. I was a live-in nanny for a family in New Jersey for 3.5 years. It was the best, most fulfilling job I have ever done. In the last 20 years I have worked corporate jobs and have taken care of children part time. Recently I realized while volunteering for my church's youth group that taking care of children full time is my passion. Being able to help raise socially conscious children is a gift. There is nothing better than spending the day playing and being creative with children. I tend to stay away from the electronics as much as possible with the kids. Physical activity and creative thinking are my priorities. There is nothing better at the end of the day to feel you have helped a child prepare for their future by building their self esteem.
