I have many years experience in childcare, nursing, and teaching. I have a B.A. degree in Education and worked for 15 years as an elementary school teacher. I was a practical nurse for 20 years before I returned to college to study for my teaching degree. I've also held positions in libraries. I am now semi-retired but would love to find a family who needs someone to trust and rely on for excellent, part time childcare. I know how difficult it can be to work outside the home while raising a family and I think I could be a perfect addition to your household as a childcare provider. At present, I live in Independence with my husband and two dogs. I have a car and a good driving record. I am puntual and dependable. I do not own a tv and, frankly, I believe children and tv are not a Read more great mix. I prefer to: play games, make art, make music, make cookies, take walks and bike rides, and read books when I am interacting with children. I am always aware of the learning process when it comes to spending time with your child and I believe children are like little sponges and soak up much of what they see, hear and do very quickly. For that reason, I strive to make each day or period of time I spend with them, engaging and positive.
