Hello! My name is Nika! I’m a full time commuter student at a local college. I love exploring the Pacific Northwest, volunteering, rowing, and spending time with my family. My hope to get to know a couple families and build some steady, long term relationships over the next four years. With my busy daytime schedule, I’m currently available for weekday nights and weekends all day. I can arrange my own transportation and, depending on the distance, may arrive by car, public transportation, or bike! I’ve been babysitting for five years and providing younger sibling care and mother’s helper care for seven years. I became Red Cross Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid certified four years ago and last summer took another class to bring my Red Cross Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid certification up-to-date. I have past experience with children ages 5 months-11 years and recent experience with children ages 18 Read more months-11 years. Although, I’ve had only limited interaction and no babysitting experience with special need kiddos, this is an area of childcare that I care about and want to grow in. If you’re willing to teach me about your family, I am eager to learn! Every child has a different way he/she approaches playtime, activities, and life. It’s an adventure learning how to positively impact and support each child I care for. I love engaging in age-appropriate and interactive play. I’m prepared to go on pretend adventures to Australia, play peek-a-boo, build huge Lego structures, kick a soccer ball around the yard, sing songs, create pieces of art, help develop doll storylines, race for the Hot Wheels World Championship, read book after book after book (I love reading!), or participate in anything else your child and I can imagine!
