Hello, I'm a young adult who enthusiastically aspires to pursue a career centered around the children of our future! Beginning in high school, I emerged myself in a series of experience enriching opportunities regarding the field. As a freshman I traveled to a small orphanage in Thailand where we touched the lives of rescued children, ages 2 through 14, in an outstandingly positive and hopeful way. The month there was truly resonating and pushed me to pursue more child care work at home. I got involved with the child development and the child's world course through my high school, and continued these for as many semesters as I could. The child's world course particularly stood out to me because it presented more hands on interaction with the toddlers, age 3 and 4, whom exuded curiousity. Soon after I was presented with the greatest opportunity to launch my professional caregiver career Read more as I was hired onto the YMCA Playground staff as a part time teacher's assistant. My employment at the Y continued for just under 3 years where I had a variety of classroom practice. On any given day, as an assistant, I was in a different class that ranged from feeble infants to advanced prekinders. While this age range has extremely different needs at each stage I can confidently advertise that I am capable of the care demanded. Although I remained part time throughout this endeavor my hours increased to 35 minimum a week, and eventually I was assigned leading co-teacher of the toddler class, ages 18mo to 26mo. I proudly dedicated over 1500+ hours as a teacher at the YMCA. Those hours have solidified in my heart that I am best utilized working with children. To digress, I am a firm believer of communication! So please, don't be afraid to dialog, at the end of they day I am here to serve the parents and kids in a developing way. Hours, needs, and routines change, I am here to work with your unique family. Questions, collaborations, critique are welcome... Thank you for your consideration!
