I was a nanny throughout college in Napa, California. I was fortunate enough to work with the same family for five years. The job was full-time and part-time when the kids were in school. Throughout the day I was responsible for helping the kids with homework, driving them to appointments, keeping them active and entertained, while also teaching them social norms and basic life skills in order to steer them towards reaching their full potential. After living abroad and working in the non profit field and being a caretaker for my father the last three years, I am considering starting a new career with kids in either counseling or education.
