While attending college, I cared for two girls (starting at age 3 and 5) for a few years. They taught me how much I loved teaching and learning from children. I have also taught music theory for grades 2-12 for Portland Youth Philharmonic, was a summer camp counselor for Woodwind Camp, and taught individual clarinet lessons to middle and high school students. Two of my private clarinet students had Asperger's Syndrome and were the most challenging and rewarding students I've ever had. In my personal time I love to cook and garden. Cooking from whole foods and experimenting with different dietary needs is a passion of mine and would transfer over to any meals or snacks I would need to prepare. I also do not mind light house cleaning: dishes, laundry, etc.
