I have a wide range of experience teaching and looking after children. I became a certified babysitter when I was 15. During summers while in high school I taught classes at the Boys and Girls Club in Camas, WA. While a student at the University of Portland, I interned at Le Monde French immersion school. For two years I mentored a middle school robotics team (the DigiRobots) at Self Enhancement, Inc., a charter school near N Mississippi Avenue, and was an instructor of ecology at Jefferson High School through Self Enhancement Inc. I know how to keep children safe and entertained. I have a diverse knowledge of games and activities built up from my time spent at Le Monde, the Boys and Girls Club, and SEI. I remember growing up with a babysitter whom I loved and how much that relationship meant to me as a child. I looked up Read more to my babysitter and followed her example. I want to be that kind of role model for children today. I am now a full-time Program Manager at the statewide nonprofit SOLVE. My availability is very limited, but during the business closures due to coronavirus our family is looking for extra income.
