Hi there! I came to Portland as an international student. In the meantime I got married last September 2016, have a Greencard now, and we had a baby September 30th 2017. I am nannying a little girl together with my boy, however, I am also looking for datenight babysitting, and am looking forward to hang out with more kiddos. =) I've been babysitting for most of my life, starting with my 4 younger sibblings, one of them a fosterbrother who is now 17. I did a babysitter class when I was 14. I was a nanny in england/London for 3 months (live-in), and in Switzerland for 9 months (live-out) with a 9 months old boy and a 3 year old girl. I've done 2 internships in a swiss day care, and an american daycare (Tiny Tots) situated in Switzerland. I couldn't get a schooling place for my preschool teacher education Read more (not enough school places in Switzerland), so I decided to come over here and do my education in College. I graduated with my AS Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2009 and graduated from Portland State with a BA in Child Family Studies March 2013. I was a student teacher at Helen Gordon Childcare Center for about 2 years, then worked as Preschool teacher at ChildRoots in NW Portland. After that year I went back to Switzerland and worked at Bilingual Kids Academy as the English Preschool Teacher, however, I soon discovered that my passion still lies with foster kids, kids in need, and so I am back in Portland to do my Master's Degree in Social Work. Unfortunately I did not make it into the program and instead continued working in a preschool, and later toddler classroom until having my baby. Date night babysitting will be without my child fyi. I love children and I have many years experience. =)

We love Milena! I almost hate to review her because I want her all to myself! Milena is super reliable, clearly knowledgable about child development, and she's fun too. My daughter always looks forward to her visits. And whenever we have separation issues at the door, she texts me to let me know that the tears are stopped and all is well - which makes my night. Milena was a wonderful first babysitter experience for us. She made us feel extremely at ease in leaving our 14 month child in her care and even came to our home in advance to meet our daughter. Only after her first night here did we read that she prefers homes without pets and we are beyond impressed with her graciousness, patience and flexibility in that matter.

Milena was a bit hit with our 6.5 and 4.5 year olds. They had a great time playing with her and went to bed - no sweat! She cooked a simple dinner for them and cleaned up the mess! She's a caring young woman who clearly enjoys being with kids.

Melina has watched our 17 month old son twice now. She came for an interview first and to meet us all. She was very warm and friendly with our son and has been on time for all three times. We feel comfortable leaving our son with her and he has warmed up to her too.
