I am currently a full time student at the University of Portland, finishing up my second semester of junior year. I have been babysitting and caring for children for approximately 6 years, in various settings. This past work includes babysitting neighboring families, including many jobs (15+) when families or friends needed help, as well as a consistent 3-year job with a family with one daughter, from when she was 3-6. I have also volunteered and worked in my church nursery consistently for the past four years, caring for children from the ages of 6 months to 5 years. I worked full-time at my church last summer as the assistant youth leader, which involved working with and leading the youth program (ages 8-17). Because of the variety in my experience, I am comfortable with all age ranges. Animals are also a huge part of my life, so pets are always a plus Read more as well. When caring for children, I much prefer playing games, making crafts, or being outdoors over watching a movie or some other activity that does not require involvement.
