I grew up in a daycare setting, my mom had a daycare for a couple years, once she went on into a different field my Aunt did daycare, which I was in. I was always the oldest, so I would help out with snack time, craft time, and nap time. I am the oldest of 5 siblings, so I was around babies my whole life growing up. When I hit age 15 I started babysitting after school and on weekends. I did that until I was about 17. When I turned 18 I got into care giving at an assisted living facility. I was there for a year and a half. After I worked at the assisted living, I did training to become a Direct Support Professional with Children who have developmental disabilities. I was there for a couple months until I decided I wanted to hold my own Daycare Read more and run things. I was a DHS State Approved Child Care provider for about a year and a half until the family I was working for moved. I have done the training, neglect and abuse, behavior class, I have gotten the background check, etcetc. I work with Ages 0-12 and elders. I've worked with 6 kids at once and I have worked with 15 seniors at once! I currently do not have any kids that I am caring for, since the family I was working for moved. I am now looking to care for about 1 to 4 children Monday through Friday. Day or evening. Wanting weekends free, although if you need a weekend day to yourself once and awhile I'd be willing to help! :) Thank you for reading and I hope to be hearing from you soon. I have experience in a lot of things, activities of daily living, crafts, homework, changing a diaper, meals, cleaning, laundry, bathing/showering, brushing teeth, doing hair, medication, catheter care, hoyer lift, hand feeding, toileting, etc. I love care giving, it makes me happy and it also makes me happy knowing the child, resident, client, whom ever it is, is getting the care they need and always have a smile on their face! I am currently caring for 2 children, ages 5 and 8. Tuesday-Friday 6am-6pm in Springfield, Oregon in a State Certified home. I am looking to care for one more child in this home.
