My Name is Melissa Wall. I'm the oldest of four and helped my mother when she had child care in our home. I've always loved working with children, helping out in the nursery or other children programs at church. Through scouts I've learned that I have a talent for working with young people of all ages. After graduation with a Bachelor's degree from BBC I worked as an Instructional Assistant in the Douglas County Schools, here I learned how to work with children with special needs. I developed a passion for helping them grow and master the basics of life. I am currently trying to pay off my student loans so that in the future I will be able to go and back to school to obtain a Master's degree (possible in Child Psychology). I have been helping people by watching their children for many years. Through this I have Read more found several things that I enforce when watching children, the most important of which is boundaries. After discussing the rules of the home with the parents, I enforce the normal house rules as well as proper behavior for the activity being done.  I also expect the best from a person no matter the age. I enjoy pets; we currently have a basset hound puppy. We play fetch and tug of war with a rope. He loves to run and so occasionally on our walks we’ll run the last 4 blocks home. We also have a cat who loves to cuddle. I often find her sitting next to me when I’ve sat down and am reading a book or watching a movie. I find that having animals around can be very comforting or relaxing though all sorts of different things. I’m willing and excited to try new and different things. Challenging myself to put my best foot forward and see what God has in store for me.
