I am currently a college student working towards a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I have had several years of expierence working with children. I started babysitting when I was about 11 years old and since then, I have babysat regularly. Within that time I also volunteered at Grace Rides therapeutic horseback riding. I volunteered my time working with children who have special needs and taught them how to ride horses. I then began to volunteer at Juniata Elementary school in Altoona, PA. I volunteered in kindergarten for an entire school year. Throughout the year the teachers allowed me to work with the students and actually allowed me to help teach them certain things. From this expierence I decided I wanted to become a teacher. My first year of college I completed over 40 hours of observations at Baker Elementary School and Frankstown Elementary in first and second grade. I can supply a FBI background check, Child Abuse Clearance, Mandated Reporter Training Certificate and references upon request. I am interested in caring for children because I really enjoy learning about them as well as expanding my experience with children.
