I am a soon-to-be Speech-Language Pathology BA graduate from Indiana University of PA. My goal once I finish graduate school in two years is to work as a speech therapist in elementary schools. I have always wanted to work with kids. Starting last summer I worked at Begin With Us Childcare in Altoona as a Teacher's Aide. I was most often in the school-age summer camp. When I returned this winter, I was placed most often in the infant and toddler room. I was trained on how to properly and safely change a diaper, make a bottle, put babies down for a nap, and entertaining children as well. I have had opportunities to babysit for family friends as well, so I do know my way around a kitchen for meal times, give baths, and get children ready for bedtime as well.
