Hi, my name is Lindsey and I am a recent graduate from Towson University with a Master's degree in Research Psychology. I have extensive childcare experience. As an undergraduate, I worked at an after-school program, primarily floating between working with first-grade boys and second-grade girls. My duties included supervising 10+ children, homework help, developing and coordinating activities appropriate for the developmental ages. As a graduate student, I nannied for a local family's 2-year-old daughter. I took a break as their nanny to assist in instructing a summer-long Psychology course for an academic center. I aided in instruction, lesson planning, developed evaluation measures, and introduced complex and challenging concepts to students, aged 15 and 16-years-old. I also gained experience in special education as a program aide at a local high school. I worked with a ninth-grade boy with learning, emotional, and behavioral problems. I have also tutored for a family working with both their six-grader and tenth-grader for the past two years. I tutored both students in all of their subjects while focusing on organizational and study skills. Most recently, I nannied for two 4-year-old twin boys with autism. This was an extremely rewarding experience for me and I was sad to go (their mother is French and she lost her work Visa so she had to stay home with the kids). My experience as a teacher, tutor, and childcare provider has equipped me with the tools and skills necessary to provide superior childcare.
