Meet Michelle

    I am currently enrolled as a full time college student pursuing a degree of Nursing.  I have been helping raise my little sister since the age of six and since then I have always loved children.  At the age of eleven I started babysitting for families with children of both male and female and of all ages.  I have babysat for families with pets so they do not bother me.  I have also been a mother’s helper for twin infant boys helping with the cooking and cleaning and then I started to babysit them on my own as well.  In 2009 I started working at a daycare facility as an Assistant Teacher in the infant room.  I worked there for about two years.  Since 2011 I have been working at a different daycare facility as an Assistant Teacher in the infant room and I just recently was the Read more lead teacher of the Toddler room this past summer.  I am currently on leave with the daycare due to school but will be returning in the winter for break.  I love children of all ages but I prefer working with infants to around the ages of five.  I have also volunteered at an orphanage for two years working with children ages infant to five years.  I believe in sticking to the parent’s household rules and I try to incorporate a healthy diet in the children’s meals if a specific diet is not already planned out by the parents.  I am currently taking Spanish classes in school so I know some Spanish words but English is my main language.  I enjoy playing outside with the children in appropriate weather, doing crafts, and finding new places to take the children to to experience.  Overall I love children and I cannot wait to pursue my Nursing career to work with children everyday!
