I began to look after my own family and relatives at the age of 11. Since then, I have had a variety of jobs with children. I have been involved with 2 summer camps for children ages 4-14, 2005-2006 as a counselor and 2012-13 as a volunteer camp coordinator. During college I was a private tutor and babysitter for 3 years for children ages 5-9. Other baby sitting experience includes serving a family with a child, who has cerebral palsy, from infancy until 5 years of age. I continue to care for infants weekly for my church. Starting in 2010 I became a Spanish teacher. Presently, I work with middle and high school grades. I tremendously enjoy my job and being a part of my students' lives, attending as many of their events as possible and learning about them on a personal level. One reason I chose to work with Read more children is because I delight in encouraging others, no matter their age, to become their best and highlighting their strengths and potential. In my leisure time I am active (hike, ride bike, sports), garden, study, cook, bake, play the guitar and sing.
