As the oldest of five, I have been babysitting all my life. My youngest sister is 10 years younger than me so I am still doing it till this day. I have been nannying for families since I was in seventh grade. I am good with kids of all ages considering I have seen it all! As the eldest of five, chaos and busyness does not frighten me! It feels normal, I might even go as far as to say I thrive in it. When I was in high school, I lived in India the summer before my junior year. I worked all day at a day care. I spent most of my time with kids whose ages were one to four. I had to learn Tibetan and things about their culture. These children lived in absolute poverty. For a lot of them, the one rice and vegetable dish we Read more served them for lunch was their only meal for the day. Many of them acted out because they were hungry, sick, or not getting enough attention from home. There were three workers and three teenagers in addition to myself, that were expected to take care of around thirty children in a small playroom. Though this was challenging at times, I loved each and everyone of those kids. I hope to be able to do a program like this again.
